Third slice off the bucket list!
My second slice of the day, bought as a take away then finally devoured when I reached Canberra on Christmas Eve. I went for the French vanilla option (icing sugar dusting) over the fondant icing as the portion was bigger and the custard looked fresher. It was 60 cents more expensive at $4.10. A smooth, creamy custard and sharp pastry considering it had travelled for a few hours in an Esky. A tasty slice, not the most flavoursome or mind blowing, but pretty decent. What a great little gold mining town Beechworth is (or was).
