In one word: Squidgy
Bought by a colleague from work, I doubt I would have ever gone past this bakery in the far north suburbs. Actually not as yellow in real life as the photos, this slice wasn't at all bad. It's successes came from the beautifully sweet and sticky icing which I had to lick off my fingers once finished and the pretty decent custard. It had a lovely 'squidgy' texture when pressed together then picked up, and a lovely vanilla creaminess. Unfortunately it was let down by pretty soggy pasty. Not wet, but rather under-cooked. No buttery flakiness, but not a bad effort.
