Some people place the Jahdomes vanilla slices in the same league as the famous Sorrento slices, so I had to drive out to Mill Park to investigate. After eating a pleasant breakfast (pulled pork eggs Benedict) in the cafe I took my vanilla slice (and the cookies and cream cheesecake for Mrs B) away to consume at the nearby Plenty Gorge Park. After taking one bite, watching half of my filling squidge out from between the three payers of pastry, I decided to get a fork and eat it out of the box. Positives are the sheer size of the slice and the freshness of the pastry. Sadly, the filling just wasn't anywhere near the quality required to hit the high marks. Plus, the price was a little steep for a very (very) suburban cafe.
