In one word: Acceptable
This place is known locally as being the best in country Victoria, but with Tatura 20km up the road they were up against it from the beginning. Starting with appearance the cracked and broken icing was common on the slices in the cabinet, good colour to the custard and a rectangular shape, approximately half the size of its competitors in the area. The custard tasted a bit bland on its own, but when combined with the icing was quite sweet and vanilla flavoured. The bottom layer of pastry was completely soggy and the top cracked with the broken icing on top. Nowhere near the highly polished standard set by Tatura.
