Mrs B popped in whilst I drove around the block after being moved on by a parking inspector. I returned to pick her up and with little time to spare I flung open the cardboard container and picked it up. From the get go there was seismic action evident, with sliding of pastry sheets and custard magma trying to erupt out the sides. After a few bites and tentative nibbles I gave up on trying to eat it sensibly and got Mrs B to dig around in the glove box for a utensil. She offered me a set of wooden chopsticks as they was no other choice. I was able to munch my way through the delicious pastry sheets with ease due to the buttery flakiness and freshness. The custard ended up being finished off with an uneasy chop stick scooping action, but my word it was rich and satisfying. They know they have a good product here, so with the wonderful view opposite it’s no wonder it sells for $6 a square.
